Day 1: Saturday, May 10 – Arrival in Gent
We arrive in Gent around 15:00, ready to dive into one of Belgium’s most beautiful cities. The rest of the day is yours to start soaking in the capital's sights, culture, and cuisine.
Day 3: Monday, May 12 – EU Institutions Day
Monday kicks off with a visit to the European Commission, where we’ll receive insights into the Commission’s role within the EU. We’ll also get informative briefings on policies directly relevant to our field, including development & cooperation, competition, energy, foreign and security policy, trade, and economic affairs.
In the afternoon, we’ll visit the European Economic and Social Committee, learning how civil society helps shape EU policy.
Afterwards, enjoy free time to explore Brussels — from the Grand Place and Magritte Museum to a stroll through charming neighborhoods.
Day 4: Tuesday, May 13 – Global Labour & Farewell
On our final day, we’ll visit the International Labour Organization, where we’ll discover how global labour standards and decent work policies are developed and promoted — an essential part of global development and economic justice.
We’re also working on confirming an exciting extra visit to close off the trip — stay tuned!
Then, we’ll head back home, full of inspiration and great memories.
This is the perfect opportunity to explore a European capital, travel with fellow students, make lifelong memories, and gain valuable insights from major international organizations — places where you might just find yourself working after your studies!
